Don’t want to fall by the wayside? Turn your sunny boat trip into a one of a kind culinary trip with these rantang boxes. Traditional Asian meal boxes with an Indonesian twist. They are available in a fish, vegetarian or meat variant.
Perhaps you already knew that you can easily dock your boat at our restaurant in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. And starting this weekend it is also possible to order a delicious Indonesian bite from your own boat! Ron Gastrobar Indonesia presents: the rantang box. A rantang is a kind of meal box of stacked trays, which you can easily transport thanks to a carrying handle. We fill our rantang box with the most delicious dishes from Indonesia and are available in three different variants: vegetarian, fish or meat.
The menu
Rantang vega
Risolles with peanut dip (pasty) – Tumis Tempeh – Nasi Uduk (steamed rice in coconut milk) – Urapan (mixed vegetables) – Boiled Egg – Satay tofu with soy sauce
Rantang fish
Udang bola with sambal mata – Nasi Goreng (fried rice) – Ikan curry (cod) – Urapan (mixed vegetables) – & satay udang (shrimp)
Rantang meat
Spring roll Bebek (duck) – Nasi Goreng (fried rice) – Rendang (beef) – Gado Gado (vegetables with peanut sauce) – Boiled egg & Satay Ayam (chicken)
Conditions
- Each rantang box is for one people and costs 28,50 euros (excluding a 10 euro deposit).
- A maximum of 10 rantang boxes can be placed per order.
- Keep in mind that preparing the boxes requires about 30 minutes of preparation.
- The rantang boxes are available from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
- The deposit of the rantang boxes will be refunded in cash.
- The rantang boxes are limited available every day. while supplies last.
You can easily order the box via the pop-up within the reservation system on the website of Ron Gastrobar Indonesia Ouderkerk.

Click on the ‘book’ button at the bottom right > Select a Saturday or Sunday and the desired time > Click on ‘Show available options’ > Select ‘Rantang’ > Enter your details and state in the notes which rantang you want to receive (meat, fish or vega) > Pay and wait until you can pick up the rantang.
Via a mobile phone:
Click on the ‘book’ button at the bottom right > Click on ‘Or complete your reservation here’ > Select the number of people (only even numbers possible), a Saturday or Sunday and the desired time > Click on ‘Show available options’ > Select ‘ Rantang’ > Enter your details and state in the notes which rantang you want to receive (meat, fish or vegetarian) > Pay and wait until you can pick up the rantang.
